Turnout:

This was the first race after we began working with the American DIabetes Association to try and " STOP Diabetes".  The ADA was on-site sharing a wealth of information about the disease, and the Turnout was terrific on Friday, but Saturday the races were rained out, and The ADA could not attend on Sunday.  We look forward to our next race, so we can help spread awareness.  Thanks to the American Diabetes Association for all that you do.

Silver Crown- Qualifying: Mike Martin 18th, Coleman Gulick 12th

Semi Main- Coleman Gulick 1st, Mike Martin 9th

A-Main- Coleman Gulick 17th ( Tire Blew ), Mike Martin 19th ( Major Oil Leak, Pulled in. )

Sprint Car- Qualifying: Coleman Gulick 31st

Heat: Coleman Gulick 6th

Semi Main: Coleman Gulick 6th

A Main: Coleman Gulick 20th ( Brakes Failed )

 

 


The We Care Foundation's

Inaugural Christmas Party and Fund Raiser

 at the Moon Valley Grill

Turnout:

What a terrific event!  We would like to thank the We Care Foundation of Arizona for throwing such a successful benefit.  Due to generous donations, The We Care Foundation will be able to assist several families in need this holiday season.

Also, a big thank you goes out to the Moon Valley Grill for being such tremendous hosts, and for serving such DELICIOUS food!  You are the best.

Mike Martin towed out his Sprint Car to display at the event.  Thank you Mike!  All of your support does not go un-noticed, we appreciate everything you do!


Southwest Championships

Tribute to the Life of Rick Stewart

Canyon Speedway, Peoria AZ

Nov. 28th, 2009

 

Great night of racing at the Southwest Championships held at Canyon Speedway.  Racing Associates' Mickey Meyer crew chiefed for Mike Martin in the #16, and Jeff Slinkard in the #20x Non-Winged Sprint Cars.

Results:

Mike Martin was able to win the Trophy Dash, as well as come away with a 1st Place finish in the A Main, which gave him the opportunity to make a memorable speech about the late Rick Stewart of Stewart Fabricating / Stewart Racing Products.

Results:

Jeff Slinkard was able to pull off a 2nd Place finish in the Trophy Dash, and after runnung 2nd through most of the A Main, Jeff was spun out and only able to make it back to 15th Place before the checkered flag.

Congratulations to Mike Martin, Mickey Meyer, and Jeff Slinkard for a very great night!

Western World Championships

& Charity Event Day 4

Saturday Nov. 21st 2009

Results:

Lucas Wolfe drove Steve Stone's #57x Sprint car to a 3rd place finish in the Winged B-Main, and a 16th Place finish in the A-Main!  Terrific job Lucas!

Results:

Robert Ballou took the #20 Mike Martin Sprint Car, team Crew Chiefed by Mickey Meyer, to a 2nd Place finish in the Non-Winged A-Main!  Great job to Robert and to Mickey Meyer.

Turn-Out:

The Charity Event went off without a hitch!  The donations tonight were plentiful, and the raffle entries were outstanding!  Congrats to the winner of the PYROTECT Autographed Helmet, John A.  You deserved it John!  Thank you again to all of our many supporters and contributers, this would not have been possible without you!

Because both Lucas Wolfe and Bobby Ballou finished so well on Thursday night, Neither racer had to race Friday.  Bobby and Lucas got the night off.

Racing Associates Driver Lucas Wolfe finished 2nd in his Heat Race & finished 10th in his A-Main

Results: 

 Racing Associates Mickey Meyer crew chiefed the Mike Martin #20 Sprint Car piloted by Bobby Ballou.  Bobby finished 1st in his heat race & finished 2nd in the Main

Turn-Out:  Child Benefit

The turn-out Thusday night was fairly slow.  Everyone is still in Phoenix.  We expect a larger crowd the next 2 nights!  Donations are coming along very well.

1st Annual Child Benefit and Fundraiser

Diamond Children's Medical Center, Tucson AZ

Turn-Out:

It is being reported that the event at the Diamond Children's Medical Center in Tucson has had a terrific turn-out!  Thank You to Steve Stone, the owner of the #57x Car that Lucas Wolfe will be racing at the Western World Championships, for donating a Generous $250.00, and 100 bears to the Children of the Diamond Childrens Medical Center!
STEVE STONE HAS CHALLENGED ALL OF THE CAR OWNERS RACING THIS WEEKEND TO MATCH OR EXCEED HIS DONATION!  Wow!  Thanks again Steve!  We are extremely excited to seeing how this Challenge will be met! 
I have my check written!

Thanks to 96.1 KLPX  Tucson's Real Classic Rock, for coming out and doing a mobile broadcast from the event!  You presence made all of the difference! 

Thank you to the Tucson Fire Department #5 for stopping by!

There were several drivers who went and visited the children, signed autographs, and handed out stuffed bears.  Thank you for putting a smile on the children's faces.

Mickey Meyer and Joe Gartrell Public Speaking Event

 at U of A Nov. 12th, 2009

Turn-Out:

Mickey and Joe spoke at a disertation to the University of Arizona Sports Marketing Association, surrounding Sports marketing trends and their experience in such fields.  The turn-out was excellent, and Joe and Mickey were very well received!  Thank you to U of A for inviting us to visit your campus, we would love to work with you again.                              11/18/09


November 12th, 2009- Copper World Classic

Results:

After a long 100 lap race, Coleman Gulick was able to pull out a 10th Place Finish!  Congratulations to Coleman and The Hazardous Racing Team.  Terrific job and good luck this weekend in California.                      11/18/09
